These plants are characterised by a high demand for nutrients. Cool weather in the spring, water stagnation, crusting and an acidic pH of the soil limit the uptake of nutrients and the development of rhizobia. Therefore, particular care should be taken to provide appropriate nutrients to legumes before flowering. Foliar feeding should be used in this period. The right dose of nitrogen and molybdenum (ADOB® 2.0 Mo) at this time, will ensure the appropriate activity of rhizobia. An appropriate amount of assimilable phosphorus and zinc (Basfoliar® 2.0 6-12-6, ADOB® Zn 2.0 IDHA) will be needed to form protein in grains.
